Welcome to my collage gallery. I’ve been doing collages that have been enjoyed by hundreds of people for many years. Finally I’ve made it onto the web where I hope that many more people will be able view my work.

I love doing collages. Taking disparate, discarded papers and images which are past their usefulness and to give them purpose, to find new meanings creates a kind of poetry through context. The whole process of cutting and pasting is therapeutic for me. I have shunned the computer/scanner/

photoshop method of producing my work. What's more, I derive great pleasure from doing the research I do because I learn so much about ancient history as in my "Civilizations" series.

Each collage element is a visual stream of consciousness, a string of associations brought toggether into a coherent whole. Many of the images are found by chance. Each collage element resonates with its own past and sets off a chain of responses in me, some formal, intellectual and carefully planned, others intuitive, even brashly impulsive. The subtlest adjustment to the composition or color can cause everything to shift and  fall into a totally new position and meaning.
